Jackie Jackson-Harvey’s passion for quilting began in 1996 when she started making quilted Christmas tree skirts for family, followed by her first “quillow” as a birthday gift for her ailing son, Corey. Over time, Jackie fell in love with the Amish styled “hexies” rather than the traditional paper pieced technique. Jackie serves as the Marketing and Public Relations Director of the Atlanta Quilt Festival in addition to serving as a member of the Board since 2021. During her work with the Atlanta Quilt Festival, Jackie secured sponsorships with a variety of local quilt shops and manufacturers, including Babylock, Pfaff, and Bernina. However, Jackie’s proudest achievement occurred in 2024 when she successfully secured a month-long exhibit of the John Lewis Good Trouble Quilts at the Riverfront Museum in her hometown of Peoria, Illinois. Jackie lives in South Fulton Georgia with her husband.
